Bengkung Belly Binding for Healing After Birth
Bengkung is an ancient practice of binding the postpartum mother's belly and hips. This practice of postpartum binding has been practiced for thousands of years on over 4 continents! Give yourself permission to care for yourself, and feel comfortable and supported.Benefits of Bengkung

Bengkung belly binding can be done as early as 3 days after birth. Bengkung is also beneficial to cesarean moms, and can be done as soon as the incision is healed.
We offer in home classes for Bengkung. But it can be done without a class. You can purchase a bind in our store, and watch the video linked below.
Healing After Birth
In traditional cultures: when women give birth they are supported by the people of their community.
They stay in bed, work on bonding with their babies, and are brought food. Holistic healers in the community talk with mom on an emotional, physical, and spiritual level to help make sure her needs are being met. They bring her herbals, do body work on her and the baby, and facilitate healing ceremonies in the comfort of their own homes!
Our culture is very different. We are expected to "bounce back" and quickly return to work after baby's birth. Our culture also has higher instances of postpartum depression and mood disorders. We believe this is greatly caused by lack of postpartum support in our community.
Beautifully Connected fills the role of traditional healer for Postpartum Mothers in our community. We help with consultation with herbals, bodywork, ceremony, healing, and belly binding. We will help you heal and honor your transition into motherhood.

Postpartum Healing Ceremony
Honor your body and your space with a healing ceremony to conclude your birth. During birth the body becomes very open, and it is helpful to close the hips and the body to bring stabilization to the pelvis, and honor your transition into motherhood. This is also a helpful ceremony for people who have experienced sexual assault.
This includes: Smudging/Smoke Cleansing your home, Herbal bath for healing, Sealing the hips, Bengkung Binding class. Includes: smoke cleansing items, herbals, and belly bind. However, every ceremony is different depending on individual needs.
Herbal Consultation
Herbs can be used in a variety of ways! Poultice, Infusion, Tea. However starting to use herbals can be overwhelming. We offer face to face and video consultation to help get you started on your healing herbal journey.
