What is a Body Melt?

A body melt massage is a combination of passive stretching, acupressure, and neuromuscular therapy, used to target chronic body tensions and pain or problem areas in your body. It is very beneficial to people who have low back pain, sciatica, or general tension in their back. It’s similar to a chiropractic adjustment in that it is a quick way to get lasting results, but it works through soft tissue manipulation rather than bones and hard tissue.

What can I expect during treatment?

For a Body Melt session you remain clothed. During the session, your therapist will use static pressure and compression on your neck, back, and legs. This facilitates neuromuscular release! Then your therapist will perform passive stretching to facilitate relaxation of the muscles, flexibility, and range of motion in the joints.

How does it benefit me?

  • increases circulation in muscles
  • decreases muscle spasms
  • temporary to semi-permanent relief of chronic pain
  • Make chiropractic adjustment work better and last longer!
  • increase of flexibility and range of motion in muscles and joints
  • releases hips
  • helps low back pain and sciatic pain
